Death of an Old Resident. Edmund Rothwell Passes Away Sunday After a Stroke of Apoplexy. Edmund Rothwell, one of the old residents of Little Falls, died Sunday morning (August 13, 1905) at his home on north First street of apoplexy, after a short illness. He leaves to mourn his demise, his wife, Elizabeth Rothwell, and seven children, Mrs. Chas. Guernon, and Anna, Bessie, Edna, Janet, Bertha and Willie Rothwell. Edmund Rothwell was born in Oldham, England, and removed to this country during his youth. He came to Little Falls from Perham twenty-three years ago and has made this city his residence since that time, making a host of friends who will sympathize with the bereaved family in their loss. Up to a few years ago Mr. Rothwell had been engaged in the real estate business, but ill health caused him to give it up and since that time he has been more or less an invalid. He was a member of the Masonic order and the funeral will be under the auspices of the lodge. The services will be held at the family home Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock interment to take place at Oakland cemetery. (Little Falls Daily Transcript, Monday, August 14, 1905, Page 3)
