Mrs. Ernst Aufderheide of Morton died at the home of Mrs. Ruemke in this city last Thursday after an illness of three weeks. The deceased was only thirty-seven years old and was well-known in this vicinity, where she lived for many years prior to moving to Morton. Ernest lived with his son Gus (age 34, born in Minnesota, farmer), his son’s wife Ella (age 37, born in Minnesota), and their daughters Isabel (age 2, born in Minnesota) and Isalina (age 1, born in Minnesota).
The 1930 United States census showed Ernest Aufderheide (age 78, born in Germany) living in Lamberton Township, Redwood County, Minnesota. Ernest lived with his son Wm. A. (age 45, born in Minnesota) and his children Isabel (age 13, born in Minnesota), Wilma (age 11, born in Minnesota), Jean (age 9, born in Minnesota), Ernest (age 7, born in Minnesota), and John (age 5, born in Minnesota).
Ernst Aufderheide died August 23, 1940, in Sibley County, Minnesota.
