Oldest Native of Wabasha Dead at 95. Wabasha, Minn. (Special) - Wabasha’s oldest native, Frank J. Passe, 95, died Thursday at the St. Elizabeth Hospital here where he had been a resident four years. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Passe, he was born here March 13, 1875. He married Louise Schmidt, Nov. 28, 1899, at St. Felix Catholic Church. The couple farmed in Meeker County, then lived at Preston, Minn., where he owned and operated a brickyard. They returned here in 1918, where he was a carpenter, served as city police officer several years, and was employed by the city water department 15 years, retiring in 1952. Mrs. Passe died in 1945. Survivors include two sons, Charles, Rochester, Minn., and Harold, Red Wing, Minn.; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Mae) Jones and Mrs. Herman (Leona) Loechler, Wabasha, and Mrs. Ray (Helen) Kirch, Palmetto, Fla., seven grandsons; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leo, Wabasha, and Albert, Billings, Mont., and two sisters, Miss Margaret Passe and Mrs. John (Gertrude) Becker, Miami, Fla. One grandson, two brothers and five sisters have died. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Felix Catholic Church, the Rev. John P. Daly officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.
