The 1875 Minnesota census showed Henry Becker (age 40, born in Germany) married to Wilhemina (age 26, born in Prussia) and living in Dresbach, Minnesota. A daughter, Mary (age 10, born in Iowa), also lived with the couple.

The 1885 Minnesota census showed Henry Becker (age 50, born in Prussia) living with Fred (age 10, born in Minnesota) and John (age 79, born in Prussia) in Dresbach, Minnesota.

Dresbach, Special Dispatch to The Winona Republican – Sept. 7. The suicide of Mr. Becker which occurred on Wednesday was a very sad affair. He lived with his son, Mr. Henry Becker. In the morning he walked down to the river, but was brought back. About 10 o’clock he got away again and succeeded in his purpose of ending his life by drowning.
