Educated in Bothwell Academy and Gilbertfield House Hamilton Scotland. Engaged in business in Scotland until 1879; moved to Crookston and was employed in U S Land Office 1881-91; asst cashr First Nat Bank 10 years; Scandia American Bank 4 years; now sec and treas Crookston Creamery Assn; in brick and tile manufacturing; city treas of Crookston 1901-1905. Member Masonic fraternity.
