Joseph Wild (age 25, born October 12, 1864, in New Ulm, Minnesota) was married to Margaret Anna Scheffler (age 20, born in 1869 in Cottonwood, Minnesota).

The 1895 Minnesota census showed Joseph Wild (age 30, born in Minnesota, farmer) married to Margaret (age 25, born in Minnesota) and living in Lafayette Township, Nicollet County, Minnesota.  Children John (age 4, born in Minnesota), Annie (age 2, born in Minnesota), and August (age 1, born in Minnesota) all lived with the couple.

We neglected to mention last week that M. G. Foley’s brick yard and residence had been sold to Joseph Wild of Lafayette.  Mr. Wild will live in the house he has purchased and will personally superintend the brick making.  He is a thorough business man and will no doubt a valuable accession to the community.  (Arlington Enterprise, Thursday, March 20, 1902)

The 1900 United States census showed Joseph Wild (age 35, born in October 1864 in Minnesota, hardware salesman) married to Margaret (age 30, born in June 1870 in Minnesota) and living in Lafayette Township, Nicollet County, Minnesota.  Children John (age 9, born in July 1890 in Minnesota), Anna (age 7, born in July 1892 in Minnesota), August (age 6, born in June 1894 in Minnesota), Frank (age 5, born in October 1894 in Minnesota), and Edward (age 1, born in January 1899 in Minnesota) all lived with the couple.

The 1905 Minnesota census showed Joseph Wild (age 39, born in Minnesota, manufacturer) married to Margaretta (age 34, born in Minnesota) and living in Arlington, Minnesota.  Children John B. (age 14, born in Minnesota), Anna (age 12, born in Minnesota), August H. (age 10, born in Minnesota), Frank J. (age 8, born in Minnesota), Edward W. (age 6, born in Minnesota), Alfred A. (age 4, born in Minnesota), Josephina (age 2, born in Minnesota), and Rosa (age 8 months, born in Minnesota) all lived with the couple.

The newly incorporated Morton (Minn.) Brick & Tile Co., capitalized at $50,000, takes over the old brick, tile and firebrick works, having bought out the former co-partnership.  New machinery will be added, including a drier, and the capacity largely increased.  H. The 1910 United States census showed Joseph Wild (age 45, born in Minnesota, brickyard foreman) married to Margaret (age 39, born in Minnesota) and living in Morton, Minnesota.  Children John (age 19, born in Minnesota, brickyard engineer), Anna (age 17, born in Minnesota), August (age 15, brickyard laborer), Frank (age 14, born in Minnesota), Edward (age 12, born in Minnesota), Albert (age 10, born in Minnesota), Josephine (age 7, born in Minnesota), Rose (age 5, born in Minnesota), and George (age 3, born in Minnesota) all lived with the couple.

The 1920 United States census showed Joseph Wild (age 55, born in Minnesota, bolter in shipyard) married to Margaritta (age 40, born in Minnesota) and living in Duluth, Minnesota.  Children Edward W. (age 20, born in Minnesota, shipyard laborer), Alfred (age 18, born in Minnesota), Josephine (age 17, born in Minnesota), Rosalia (age 15, born in Minnesota), George (age 13, born in Minnesota), Anton (age 9, born in Minnesota), and Carl (age 5, born in Minnesota) all lived with the couple.

Joseph Wild died March 2, 1941, in St. Louis County, Minnesota.
