Nels N. Flykt, Pioneer Willmar Resident, Dies. Nels N. Flykt, pioneer resident of Willmar, passed away at his home west of Willmar early Wednesday morning (November 3, 1948), following an illness of several months. He was 82 years of age. He came from Norway in 1888 and for many years has been engaged in brick manufacturing. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War. His wife passed away in 1929. He is survived by one son Clarence of Willmar. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the Peterson funeral chapel at 2 o’clock. The Rev. Paul Melin will officiate. Interment will be in Fairview. The American Legion will provide a military escort and members of the Spanish American War veterans will be honorary pallbearers.
