Byron. A stirring and prosperous incorporated village of about 300 inhabitants, in Kalmar township, western part of Olmsted county, 10 miles distant from the county seat and 80 miles from St. Paul. It is a station of the W. & St. P. Ry. Contains a Baptist and a Methodist church, graded school, hotel, a number of general stores, steam feed mill, fanning mill factory, lumber and brick yards, etc., etc., and is situated in a fine wheat growing district.
