The 1880 United States census showed Edward Ward (age 30, born in Pennsylvania, farmer) living with his parents F. M. (age 54, farmer, born in Pennsylvania) and Levina (age 54, born in Pennsylvania) in Blakeley, Minnesota. A brother, Frank (age 27, born in Pennsylvania), also lived there.

The 1895 Minnesota census showed Edward Ward (age 45, born in Pennsylvania, brick manufacturer) married to Clara (age 36, born in Minnesota) and living in Blakeley, Minnesota. Children Raymond (age 8, born in Minnesota), Hazle (age 6, born in Minnesota), and Emma (age 5, born in Minnesota) also lived with the couple.

The 1900 United States census showed Edward Ward (age 50, born in April 1850 in Pennsylvania) married to Clara A. (age 41, born in July 1858 in Minnesota) and living in Blakeley, Minnesota. Children Rayman M. (age 13, born in November 1886 in Minnesota), Hazel L. (age 11, born in June 1888 in Minnesota), Irma R. (age 10, born in February 1890 in Minnesota), and Alyda M. (age 3, born in July 1896 in Minnesota) also lived with the couple.

The 1905 Minnesota census showed Edward Ward (age 55, born in Pennsylvania, farmer) married to Clara (age 45, born in Minnesota) and living in Blakeley, Minnesota. Children Raymond (age 18, born in Minnesota), Hazel (age 16, born in Minnesota), Emma (age 14, born in Minnesota), and Alida (age 7, born in Minnesota) also lived with the couple.

Edward Ward died June 20, 1908, in Scott County, Minnesota.
