JORDAN, Minn., April 6. – The Minneapolis & St. Louis engineers have surveyed the line for the new side track to be laid to Smail & Nicolin’s brickyard. The grading is nearly finished, and the track will be laid in a few days. Smail & Nicolin have made a sale of nearly all their brick, and are awaiting the completion of the side track to ship. They intend to have a force during the coming summer sufficient to manufacture 60,000 bricks per day. (The Saint Paul Daily Globe, Wednesday Morning, April 7, 1886, Volume VIII, Number 97, Page 5)
