Bricks were made several years ago by William Manke in the northwest part of Wellington, and by Ole Olson a half mile west of Beaver Falls. In the first case the product was small, to supply the local demand in building; and in the second the work was unsuccessful. At the time of collecting these notes, in 1879, no brick-making was being done in this county. (A Report on the Geological and Natural History Survey of Minnesota, 1882-1885, Volume II, N. H.
